Vintage Antique German Fahrenheit Thermometer. I don't know if this thermometer has a specific purpose, but i find it unique that a German thermometer would be in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. Also I don't know what the printing on the right side signifies, freezing, tempe rate, sumpr rate and blood heat? The little metal shield with the air slots on the bottom looks real cool. It is stamped into the wood base "Made in Germany" on the back. It seems to be showing the correct temperature. The string in the top hole seems old, so it may be original. It would make a great display item with its great patina.
