Elongated safety-arm toilet seats fit elongated (oval) toilet bowls and feature support arms for people to lift or lower themselves when using the toilet. The arms attach to the underside of the seat and extend from the sides to provide grab bars for maintaining balance and reaching a standing position. These seats bolt onto a toilet and are about two inches longer from back to front than standard round seats. The extra space created by an elongated toilet seat and bowl improves comfort for adults and supplies a large target area to reduce drips and mess around the bowl.
