    Description

    Antique Metal Head "Minerva" Doll 16" From Germany #5 All Original. The German metal head dolls were made of stamped sheet metal that was welded together and them painted and put on all cloth body. They made dolls more "playable" and did not break like the procelain dolls so they became favorites of little girls. Her body is made of muslin fabric and is in original condition. I did not attempt to clean or refresh her in any way. Her leg is marked with ink stamp but I cannot read it. The panties are original to the doll as is the satin undershirt. Dress is old but not original to the doll I think. She also has brown stockings that have been added. She has been displayed in a glass case in smoke-free environment.
