Description

This a vintage Fisher Scientific precision laboratory glass thermometer in excellent pre-owned condition.
Measures from 0 to +230 degrees Fahrenheit in 2 degree (graduated) divisions and is sealed for total immersion. Measures approximately 11 7/8" in length by 1/4" in diameter and is slightly triangular in cross section.
The clear glass 'domed' top produces a magnified image of the red 'liquid interior' making the temperature graduations easy to read.
None of the red liquid (within the interior chamber) has separated, with the transparent glass front clear and easy to read. A white glass (fused backing layer) provides good contrast for delineating the red liquid interior and surface (black) 2 degree tic marks.
Comes in a protective plastic tube with an outer (15 3/4" by 1/2-5/8") hard cardboard cylindrical tube, with the original manufacturing label (slightly damaged) attached. (Note: An interior paper label, on the protective plastic tube, reads 0-330 degrees, but the thermometer is actually 0-230 degrees).
